Programme Overview

The Diploma in Traditional Arabic and Islamic Sciences is a structured five-level academic programme grounded in the renowned Dars e Nizami syllabus. This programme has been meticulously designed to provide a thorough and comprehensive study of the Arabic language in conjunction with a comprehensive study of classical sciences. The acquisition of knowledge in these areas will equip students with the essential skills and expertise required to emerge as scholars of Islam. Additionally, it provides students with a transferable skillset facilitating growth, leadership, independence, and self-initiative, all of which contribute to producing community leaders in the contemporary, post-modern era.

Programme Outcomes

Programme Levels and Structure

The part-time programme is divided into five levels;

Level One - Access to Traditional Arabic (1 Year)

Level Two - Studies in Traditional Arabic (1 Year)

Level Three - Access to Classical Sciences (2 Years)

Level Four - Studies in Classical Sciences (3 Year)

Level Five - Advanced Studies in Quran and Hadith (1 Year)

In accordance with the academic calendar, the programme is structured into three terms.

Term 1 - September to December,

Term 2 - January to Ramadan,

Term 3 - Post-Ramadan until July.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows;

  • All applicants must be over the age of 14;

  • All applicants must have a good understanding of the English language;

  • All applicants must be able to provide good references.

Fees and Finance

The tuition fee for levels one and two is £450 per academic year, and for levels three, four and five is £650 per academic year, which can be paid termly or annually. We endeavour to serve all successful applicants irrespective of their financial circumstances. For further information, please contact us, and we will be happy to provide the necessary support.

  • This programme is for students who aspire to become scholars and ulama; however, due to external commitments, they are unable to commit full-time. This programme offers the same syllabus as a full-time programme but over an extended period of time.
