Shaykh Sayyid Zarqani

Sayyid Muhammad Zarqani is an accomplished scholar and author with a distinguished heritage. He is the son of Allama Sayyid Irfani Miya of Bolton and the grandson of Sadr al-Ulama, Imam al-Nahw Sayyid Ghulam Jilani Meruthi.

He began his studies under the guidance of Mufti Aslam Bandyalvi and Mufti Fazil Bandyalvi in Bradford, studying the traditional Dars e Nizami syllabus for several years. He then travelled to Cairo to further his studies with renowned Azhari scholars.

His scholarly pursuits have resulted in several notable publications, including: "al-Sarf al-Jilani", a primer in Sarf, "al-Mantiq al-Jilani", a primer in Mantiq, "The Merit of Knowledge and Scholars" a translation of "Fadl al-'Ilm wa al-'Ulama" by Allama Naqi Ali Khan and "The Prohibition of Slandering Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah" a translation of "al-Nahiyah" by Shaykh Abd al-Aziz al-Pirharwi.
